Methods of Teaching:
40% Theoretical in the form of 60% Practical in the form of
Lecture Class Hand on training
Case presentation Log book
C.D. review Dissertation
Periodical examination Bedside demonstration
Admission Requirement:

• Minimum qualification - MBBS or equivalent degree
• Must be registered with - BMDC
• Preference will given to higher qualified candidates like FCGP, FCPS, MS, MD   holders
• Admission test needed
Class Schedule:
Thursday Theoretical 3.0 pm to 8.0 pm
Friday Practical 9.0 am to 6.0 pm
CME in Medical Ultrasound 4.0 pm to 6.0 pm 1st & 3rd Thursday of every month
Home Study course in Medical Ultrasound • 1 year by correspondence & 3 months hands on training
 
Payment Option:

Fifty percent at the time of admission. Rest amount to be paid in three equal installment
 
Examination:
At the end of course every student must appear final examination for assessment. Qualifying marks 60%.
a) Theoretical : Three papers b) Oral / Practical
   1. General     Dissertation / Log books
   2. Physics     Bed side diagonosis
   3. Spot Diagnosis     Periodical assessment
Advanced Overseas Training Program in Ultrasound:
Advanced overseas training program in Ultrasound facilities are available. This opportunity is only for sonologist qualified form BIMS. This is being done twice in a year. Early registration is needed.
Certificate Awards:

Successful candidates for DMU, CMU will be awarded certificate by the Bangladesh Technical Education Board, Ministry of Education, Government of the People's Republic of Bangladesh, Dhaka. Certificate for others courses will be issued by the Bangladesh Institute of Medical Science [BIMS]
